Horacio insists on going unnoticed. He is a restless man who is always in a hurry, always on his way out. In his booming voice, he talks about fascinating things that no one else tells. Horacio has been framing paintings for museums and collectors for many years—forty, he tells me. He rescues forgotten pieces from uncertain places and gives them a new future.
I took these photographs shortly before he moved premises. The old workshop was on the main floor of a faded old palace on Carrer de Sant Sever in Barcelona.
Today, the frames are already piled up in the new space, another palace, less faded but just as old, patiently waiting for Horacio to find their reason for being.
